I don’t even know where to begin. I have so many things to share but that words just can’t describe the excitement, anticipation and enjoyment we all felt at this event.

I’ll do my best to share with you all the details of our journey and to show you that this is certainly a one of a kind experience!

In order to have your wedding ceremony at a Mayan temple, you need the approval of the Government of Belize. This is not a problem if you get in touch with one of the best and most experienced wedding coordinators in Belize, Mrs Iraida Gonzalez. Iraida who is also a Senior Justice of the Peace so she can legally marry you, right there, on the temple (as you can see in the ceremony photos).

Our group (Bride and Groom, Senior Justice of the Peace/Wedding Coordinator and of course me, the Photographer) justify San Pedro at 7am using the Airline of Belize, Tropic Air flying to Belize City’s Municipal Airport. It is also possible to fly directly to Belmopan in Cayo which is much closer to our destination. Scheduled flights to Belmopan are only scheduled a few days a week, but you also have the option of booking a private charter with Tropic Air on any day.

Upon arrival at the Municipal Airport, we were met by Chaa Creek Jungle Resort's private van and driver/tour guide. Why Chaa Creek? Well, as we were going to the ruins of Xunantunich and Cahal Pech both located in Belize's Cayo district, I wanted to stay nearby. I'd heard so many good things about Chaa Creek that it was an easy choice to make of where to stay. I'm very happy with my decision as it truly is a breathtaking resort...
